Sustainability is hot – a subject that is topical today and bound to remain so in the future. The Belgian fresh fruit and vegetable sector has accordingly charted a future-oriented sustainability plan. Minister-President of the Government of Flanders, Kris Peeters, who also holds the agriculture portfolio, today unveiled the quality label “Responsibly Fresh” at the Fruit Logistica fair in Berlin. Products with this label are produced with attention for a balance between people, planet and profit.

07-02-2012Fruit Logistica – The press event at the VLAM booth on Wednesday will start an hour earlier as scheduled. The Minister-President of the Government of Flanders Kris Peeters will reveal a brand new initiative that displays the sustainable efforts of the Flemish fruit & vegetable sector. The presentation starts on Wednesday 8th February at 9.30 am (instead of 10.30 am) at the VLAM booth (Hall 6.2 B05).

Under the sign of expertise and sustainability, this year’s stand is located in Hall 6.2 B.04 – B.07.
